  • As you can see, I'm in a rather lazy mood to update. Somehow blogging has lost its appeal. Thus, I'll update when I feel like it(read: when I'm not too lazy).

It has been a week since exams ended and I have been doing nothing except reading and gracing social events like barbecues, birthday parties and yes, family gatherings.

To reiterate my ultimate laziness, I did not take any pictures of those social events even though I have my camera safely placed in my bag, which was always with me, of course! Yes, I'm that lazy, even to take out my camera, which does not even take much effort. Oh, what will become of me?

Oh just now I went to a primary school to help out a physio who was doing a talk on back care for school children. The talk was for the lower primary kids, and I am so amazed at their high energy level. They were practically jumping up and down to answer questions as well as to volunteer themselves to go up the stage. Even I felt a bit drained at the end of the one hour session.

The kids are just so mischievous, fighting with one another, talking rudely, and they are just seven years old! And then it dawned on me that teaching is really not my cup of tea.I think I will just die if I were a teacher! I admit that I do not have much patience with kids, and certainly am not the kind who will go 'ooohh...so cute' when I see kids, except for the highly irresistible ones. Good luck to me when I have children of my own in the future, and them, too!

  • I had my first paper just now. It was a relatively easy paper but I think I'm going to kill myself. Serves me right for not taking note of the small little details! You know how you just tend to skip little nitty-gritty details only to have them haunt you during exams? Well, that was exactly what happened to me! How can I not remember or taken note of where the organ of Corti is? Oh gosh, I feel so stupid!

I feel even stupider when I confused cerebellar and cerebrum stroke up. They are 2 totally different things and thus have 2 TOTALLY different clinical features. There goes my 5 marks. It's a matter of one grade okay...that's how much it's worth. Someone just shoot me,please. Just thinking about it makes me so incensed with myself.

I understand that what's done is done. No matter how much I whine or even shoot myself, nothing I do can reverse it unless I do something out of the world, like steal my paper and change my answers. That's like totally dumb lah. I can't believe someone so intellectual can come up with this ludicrous, ridiculous idea. Well, desperate times call for desperate measures, no?

Well, I think I should just forget about this and concentrate on my other papers. That will be more sensible, isn't it? I can, and I WILL conquer the examinations! I need a little bit of positive energy, although I admit the previous line really sounded very lame. Sheesh, what's gotten into me?

  • While thousands of people jostled with human traffic on Thursday, I, for one, spent my National Day afternoon at Tampines Mall, watching a movie - Disturbia. How patriotic of me. No parade, no fireworks for me this year. Just quality time spent with my cousins. Social defence...am i right? Heck, I don't even know the 5 aspects of Total Defence. I guess National Education doesn't really work....after almost 12 years in the education system.

The movie is a thriller movie although I had the cheek to say otherwise about 20 minutes into the movie. I ended up grabbing my cousin's hand (or was it the other way round) and sinking lower and lower in my seat, my legs shivering. Haha.

I think that watching thriller movies is a cheap thrill as you scream and gasp all you want although it's not that scary per se. That's what exactly happened in the cinema - my cousins and I were the only ones screaming at the top of our voices, grabbing each other, as if our lives depended on it. Then again, there's no kick if you don't scream while watching a thriller movie, no? I guess I'm up for a cheap thrill anywhere, anytime. Heh. Bored, boring people are just like that. :)

Then we went to dinner, somewhere near Raffles Place. I got a bit peeved there as we were apparently seated at the wrong place. You see, there's some kind of rivalry between two satay stalls and if we sit in a certain territory, we have to buy from one stall and not the other. How crap is that? There are signs that clearly says 'FREE SEATING'! And come on lah, the place was so packed, how to expect us to change tables? It's like basic common sense....

In business, there's always competition. Healthy competition is always good. It keeps you on your toes all the time. And I feel strongly that one shouldn't impose such personal feuds on their customers. It's just so unprofessional and unethical.

Well, I guess the good company more than well made up for such unprofessionalism. With, well, all the mat rock jokes, that left us in a hysteria of laughter.

Anyway,I cut my hair real short...not that it matters as you can't see it....:)

  • I can finally breathe now as I finally, like FINALLY, finished my assignment. It;s like 2 in the morning now and I have to travel all the way to school later, just to hand in my assignment! So waste of time, right? Gosh I do not know how I survived doing this assignment for eons, being up since 6 this morning, and gasp, it's already 2am.

By the way, I just realised that I have not printed out my assignment nor done up my body chart. I'll just leave that to tomorrow then.

Don't get me wrong, I did not spend he whole day doing my assignment. Glad that I managed to stay awake in the afternoon to complete 3/4 of my assignment before going out...for 8 hours, that is. Heh. To think that my first paper is on next Friday!

In short, I really had a fantastic time with my cousins, laughing and reminiscing about old times. :)

    I'm a happy girl for now. =)

  • I just find it so hilarious that Van der Sar had a ha trick of penalty saves in the match against Chelsea. I don't think any goalkeeper has ever done that -to save 3 successful penalties. The penalty shootout was just so anti-climax lah. I thought it would be quite nerve-wrecking but I was proven wrong.

Nothing else matters. Manchester United has won. That's all that matters. :)

  • I really need a break from crapping lest I'll go insane. Oh yes,you heard me right, crapping is really draining me out. I mean, whoever gets tired of crapping and smoking one's way through right? I do.

You see, I'm in the midst of typing out my MS assignment. It's supposedly a semester long assignment where I have to find a patient with a lower limb problem and treat it to the best of my ability, backing up my treatment through various journals and articles that I've read up on. I met up with my patient over a few weeks and gave her some treatment sometime ago, but the procrastinator in me refused to record down anything, thinking that I can remember all the details of the treatment sessions. But lo and behold, I can't recall a lot of things, and as you see now, I'm in deep shit, so the only way out is to crap and make up my own data. I must make sure that my crapping is logical and reasonable, specific to the problem and it is now taking a toll on my brain cells.

Serves me right, really for thinking too highly of myself, and well, being such a huge gigantic humongous procrastinator. I really should learn self-control and self-discipline. Easier said than done, though.

That aside, I just got my pay. Not much (that does not mean I'm not grateful or thankful) , but at least, it does help me pay my bills and sustain myself for the month. And maybe, just maybe, a little bit of shopping, after 23rd August, that is. :)

So yes, feel free to ask me out on 23rd August, after 1030am. But then all you uni pple would just have started school. *gloats*. But don't worry, it's a necessity to work that rusty brain cells after 3 months of complete inertia.

While I sit back, enjoy and just shake my legs at home. :)
