  • I am now currently taking a break from watching Princess Hours and watching the match between Man U and Reading. The score is 1-1 at the moment.

I went to Cik Meme's house just now to send the lontongs that my mum helped steam (rebus) for my grandmother. Oh yes, I got to see Uncle Bakar's new car, Honda Edix(that's how I think you spell it). The car looks small on the outside but it's definitely very spacious inside. If I have the money, I would like to buy an SUV. But first, I have to get a licence first which is really taking ages since I've not had driving lessons for almost a month. I keep forgetting to call my instructor plus the fact that I'm too lazy to wake up early in the morning and in addition, it's the rainy season, and I'm scared to drive in such conditions.

Nora told me that she watched 'It Started with a Kiss' on You-Tube and the show is really funny, Now, I just can't wait for the dvd which I bought online to arrive.

Have I mentioned that I'm totally addicted to Korean dramas? These dramas never fail to make me think and ponder about important things in life. They really have a mixture of love, family issues, and the ups and downs of life and how you deal with them.

It's not to late to wish Selamat HAri Raya, everyone! See you, my darling cousins tomorrow!

  • Today, I battled the rain to spend time with Nora and Nurul. Only 3 of us, but we definitely had fun. Nora telling us the nationality of the guy we'll be marrying. Hilarious, I tell you. And of course, she just had to choose a Mat Salih or a Caucasian man. Always wanting the best, eh? She even had the cheek to ask me to look for her one when I'm in Australia in about 3 years' time. Sheesh.

I managed to get a school bag - white and gold. Very classy, you.

oh yes, we went crazy ath the food court, with so many food to choose from. From Western food to claypot. So much variety. Rainy days = growling stomachs, no?

  • Yesterday, I met up with my jc classmates. As usual, we were supposed to meet at 5 but everyone only came at 6+++++. Yours truly was supposed to come slightly earlier to get about 18 seats (which were reduced to 10 in the end) but as always, she's late. To make matters worse, my shoes broke halfway, when I was walking to the Swensen's opposite Taka. Can you imagine, a girl, with her shoes broken, stranded in the rain with a purple umbrella, trying miserably to walk along the pavement? It must really be a ridiculous sight, I tell you. Then disaster struck - the other side broke too! And I had to walk with malfunctioning shoes and it was definitely an arduous task. So I called Shahirah to help me and with much difficulty, I managed to enter Taka. In case you are wondering, I walked barefoot in Taka while searching a pair of shoes that cost less than 30 bucks. Luckily, I managed to find one.

Definitely comfortable with so much grip. I feel safe when wearing it as I won't slip easily. Good for the rainy weather. =)

As I'm too lazy to write down anything, the pictures will suffice, I hope. A picture paints a thousand words, no? Plus there are so many pictures, so how many words will it be?

Throughout the entire evening, joey and I managed to be nice, polite and tactful to each other, something that is so rare. Usually, we'll be kicking our own asses trying to diss the other party with much sarcasm and bitchiness. But I guess sarcasm and bitchiness will dominate if it had been only the two of us. Well, we were just trying to enjoy the evening with much love and tact in lieu of christmas but I guess it will just be a one-off thing.

I don't get it when a person can say that one is fat one moment and then confidently declare that one has lost weight the next. Isn't that plain ironic? But I would think that it's hallucination and plain disillusion. Do you know whom I'm talking about, Ms Joey Wong?? tsk tsk. I'm sure you do, no?

oh, a certain Mr Goh asked me if I was scared to go home alone that night, not knowing that I live near a particular Ms Chen. haha. I'm freaking 19 years old and why on earth would I be scared? I would like to think of it as a concern from a friend.
    Okay, that's all for now.

  • I have seriously lost track of time due to my current addiction - Korean dramas. Yup, you've got me right. I've been watching Full House and My Girl. My Girl is just so light-hearted and entertaining that I'm seriously addicted to it and wouldn't mind watching it repeatedly. Full House, though funny, is quite draggy that I forwarded some of of the parts. I'm a bit impatient, you see. So if want to know what's so fantastic about Korean dramas, I'd seriously recommend My Girl.

So addicted are my cousins, sisters and I on Korean dramas, we actually went shopping, solely to buy Korean DVDs. I tell you, we're such culturally confused people but I would like to think that we are globally-aware people. heh.

I swear we literally went crazy at the shop as there was simply too many to choose from. Don't worry, all's well in the end, and left the shop with the salesgirls beaming. Well, what do you expect, having bought 300+ dollars worth of dvds from their shop!

Later at night, I went to meet up with my dearest tkgs friends whom I've not met for ages. It feels so nice to meet all of them. Then we went off to Azzah's house who didn't make ii to the gathering due to tonsillitis. Hope you'll get better my dear and be able to make it on wed for the escape gathering. =)

On Wednesday, I went out with my cousins for dinner. We bought chilly crab and went to eat at Kent Ridge Park, as always. In the dark. Sometimes, it's just better not to see what you're eating, no? Tried to be nature-lovers although I do think I succeeded to be one and came out unscathed. Talked a lot about a lot of things and my late grandfather. His absence is still really felt among the grandaunts, granduncles and in my family although it's been close to 3 years since he left us. It is those times when we talk about him that makes me really miss him.

So after we ate, we went to Labrador Park, sat down on a mat and played games like Black Magic, Fuzzy-wuzzy, Bang!Bang!Who died? and What time is it? It took me a long time to catch the concept of the games, and it's no fun playing when you don't the the concepts.

While we were playing, we saw this humongous star cruise ship. So pretty with the lights on!

Going out tomorrow for the family dinner. Now back to my Korean drama...adios.

  • hurhur. second entry of the day, something I rarely do, yes? hmmm let me see, I watched vcds practically the whole day today. It's such a nice feeling having time to watch all the vcds and dvds in the world. Let's pretend that I have no work to complete - for now.

I was super bored after I showered just now that I tried on all the clothes that I bought in Batam. Well, let's just say that I do that all the time after my shopping spree, so this was no exception. And yes, I simply love all of the tops and so satisfied with my purchases. All because they are cheap, I guess and much much cheaper than Singapore. A really good deal.

Congratulations to my dearest cousin Nora for your excellent results. I'm really very happy for you. I heard about your results from your mum who called my mum. Lambat sangat nak tunngu you sms i.Satu kampung dah tahu baru I tahu.

I watched 2 movies today...High School Musical and Step Up. I simply love both movies. Maybe because I just love musicals and enjoy dance as a form of entertainment. I guess I am quite an arty-farty person after all.

Hmmm I don't feel like doing anything else but watch more movies on my laptop. I have to check the box full of vcds and dig those which I bought while waiting for my A level results but never got around to watching them. The Notebook would be a good idea. What say you?

some pics. o the way to batam in the ferry

in the bus with farah and nora

My lil cousin, Farah, is so mentel, I tell you. In the ferry, she asked Nora to put on for her eyeliner and lip gloss. And she is all of 3 years old only. Cuteness. Nevermind, must learn from now on how to prettify(if there's ever such a word) your face. She even asked me to take a picture of her with the eyeliner and lip gloss on!

After seeing the picture above, she wanted me to zoom in to her eyeliner and closed her eyes, thinking that her eyeliner will look clearer in the picture. Such intelligence for her age!

  • A short weekend trip out of Singapore was a very much needed break for me. I truly enjoyed myself very much, getting to spend time with my family and yes, SHOPPING! I tell you, Batam is such a nice place to shop. Let's not care if their goods, especially bags, are original or not. What's more important is that they look real and are super duper cheap. Yes, I guess I'm a very cheapskate person, I buy things that are cheap and nice rather than expensive and nice.

I would like to go back there again sometime soon to do more shopping. Just a one day trip. Simply because I do not have enough shopping time to spend. Imagine having only 2 and a half hours to shop! That's plain ridiculous to me. It was like a mini amazing race for me, I tell you.

I saw something similar to what I bought in Batam at Harbourfront while I was on the way to the taxi stand. And it costs 70 bucks here as compared to the 17 Sing dollars that I spent in Batam. Now, that's daylight robbery, don't you think?

I guess it's money well spent. 350 bucks on 10 tops, 2 bags, and food. No wonder I want to go back there again to shop!

Oh well, now it's time to hit the books and enjoy what little holidays I have. And yes, I have o go back to school tomorrow to practise using the machines for my pract exam when school reopens.

In the meantime, more family love this sat at chai chee restaurant where uncle bakar will treat the whole family there. and the treat from the newlyweds, kakeffa&shah. meet-up with the tkgs clan this thurs and next wed. gathering with my jc classmates on boxing day.

Fill this holiday season with love and more love, people!

  • Since I did not have school today, I mostly slept for most of the day. I just feel so tired and I don't really know why. I woke up at about 1145 as my cousin in Malaysia called me to ask if I wanted to go to Batam this weekend. Then I ate thosai and went back to sleep, only to wake up at 345.

Then came the whole drama of wanting to go to Batam at the last hour and I had to call my sister who was on her way back from Malaysia for her passport expiry date and ic number. Haizz, so much drama. Kecohness, with my aunts contantly calling to check if I had settled everything!

And yes, I'm going for a short weekend getaway trip to Batam, a much-needed break for me. Now I'm contemplating whether or not I should attend tmr's 1-hour lect at 8. If I do decide to go, it means waking up at 530 in the morning, which does not exixt in my alarm clock at all. I can just not attend and meet my classmates in town tmr before we go off o Vanessa's house for the pesudo-bbg gathering, more of a Christmas gathering for me.

I guess I shall not go for the lecture at all. Period.

  • I have just changed my layout. Seriously I don't really know how it looks like. I still need to do some changes, I think and trying to figure out the codes, what is for what and stuffs like that. I was kinda bored with my previous layout...and I guess it's time to change it in lieu of the new year. :)

  • After weeks of not updating, I'm finally here. Tests are over for this term and my mid-semester break starts next week though it will be a pseudo-holiday for me as I have to study for a lot of things. But for now, I shall give myself some time to slack.

Well, about the wedding, it was smooth-sailing, alhamdulillah. As has been agreed with the cousins, I will not post pictures of the newly-weds unless she herself puts it up to revive her very dead blog. Instead, what you will see will be pictures of us, cousins. We are cam-whores but you may press that little cross at the top right corner of the page if you find our gorgeous pictures an eyesore. Well, shame on you, then for not knowing how to appreciate beauty. :)

Yesterday, I met up with my Queen of Denial, Ms Joey Wong and I really had a good time with her, talking, dissing each other off, bitching, gossipping, etc(you get the idea). It had been such a LONG time since I met up with her, since Ms Huda's wedding in August. This very good friend of mine never fails to make me laugh incessantly with her antics. We shall plan another outing soon when everyone is less busy and back from their vacations.

Speaking of vacations, I am currently stuck here at home while my other siblings are enjoying themselves in Sunway Lagoon. Simply because I'm still having school, which brings me to the point why the ministry had to change the academic year for polytechnic students as it really does not coincide with the normal holiday season. And so I realise that I will not be going for a lot of holidays for the next three years or so unless my parents allow me to go for a holiday with my poly friends during my break, which most of the time will be taken up by my clinicals. Ah, the sacrifices that you go through to be a physiotherapist.
