  • i just read an e-mail from a very very old friend of mine. okay, not that old, but a primary school friend of mine. and yes, i was quite shocked by the email. and surpise surprise, she has the same interests as me. life is so unpredictable and so full of possibilities, isn't it?

seriously, i've not met anyone who is interested in going to a polytechinic after completing one's a levels (other than me, of course). i'm a real dreamer, carving out my future in bed before i go to sleep, without caring what the future holds for me. i can only plan so much, but ultimately my results are all that matters. no matter how much i try to convince myself that results do not matter, the reality is that it IS and WILL be important, in Singapore's society, at least. it basically holds the key to my future. physiotherapy, i guess, is still my second choice.my dream, ultimately, is to ba a speech therapist(a profession which is in demand in singapore but not offered here). sth which until the end of the world, i cannot fathom.

happy friendship day to all my friends out there. i have tuition later and having dinner with my darling friends. =)life is blissful for now.

  • my brief relief teaching stint in chai chee sec has come to an end but i think i'll be back there again in abt two weeks' time. i have to say that i was quite apprehensive at first as i would be mostly teaching upper sec and i do not know how the students will be like. for your info, chai chee sec has definitely more boys than girls.

the students proved to be very pleasant. noisy, stubborn, lazy(not wanting to do their work), you name it. but somehow, i just have a soft spot for them. somehow, i was able to clcik better with the boys than the girls. the boys were definitely mischievous but lovable at the same time. the one thing i loved was that they had respect for you even though the age difference is not much. and also for the fact that they were never insolent to you and did their work(only after bugging them incessantly). the students were very friendly, talking to you about anything under the sun. gosh, i think i'll really miss them. seriously, i never expected myself to be so attached to them.of course, it really touched me when some of my students asked if i would be teaching them or seeing me in the school in the future.

teaching is definitely exhausting. apart from the heels that are always out to kill, projecting your voice is very energy-consuming. each day, i'm just so drained. teaching in sch as well as taching tuition. somehow, i just get a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment doing all this.

o level results is going to be released soon..later in fact..a in, today. the trepidation of getting A level results grows more intense by the day. and i have no slightest idea of when it's going to be released. i've heard so many different things and i do not know which to beleive. sooner or later, i will know. it doesn't matter when.

  • so i have started teaching tuition. three students. pri 6, sec 3 and sec 4. i would say that it's quite a challenge to teach and i will embrace it and try to do my best, imparting my knowledge to them. at least i will have a decent income coming in, plus i got a relief-teaching job for four days, teaching malay. hmm, alhamdulillah, it's just my rezeki, i guess.

and yes, i do intend to continue teaching tuition when school starts again and i feel like it's a commitment for me to see my students sit for their final year examinations.

well i have to think of ways to teach malay, prepare myself in case the teacher i'm supposed to take over does not leave anything behind for the students. hmmmm...but for now, i need to prepare my tuition lesson tmr first.
